You have probably heard about voice assistants like Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant. Perhaps you use one of them daily.

Wouldn’t it be nice to combine the convenience of your voice assistant with your daily devotions from Today? Well, we have great news: you can! The Today Devotional is available on Amazon Alexa devices. Our “Alexa skill” is an easy tool for making devotional reading into a daily habit!

Enabling Your Alexa Device

There are two ways you can hear a Today devotion using your Alexa-powered device:

Option 1:

Enable the Today Daily Devotional “Alexa Skill” via Amazon: here. Now, just as you can ask things like, “Alexa, what’s the weather today?”, you can say, “Alexa, play my devotional,” and you’ll hear your Today reading!

Option 2:

You can add the Today Devotional to your Flash Briefing by clicking here and enabling this skill. Now, when you ask, “Alexa, start my day” or “Alexa, give me my Flash Briefing,” your Today devotion will play along with other daily updates in your briefing.

We hope this new Alexa Skill will make it even easier for you to refresh, refocus, and renew in God’s Word with Today.

Or course, if you don’t own an Echo or Alexa device, there are still lots of ways to subscribe to Today. You can read about them here.

Today is also available via Google Assistant devices.
